What comes to mind when you hear the word evangelism? If you’re like most of Christianity, you probably feel fear take over your body. Bill Bright from Campus Crusade for Christ said, “Only two percent of believers in America regularly share their faith in Christ with others.” I used to be a part of the 98 percent that was content to just sit in a pew every Sunday morning. But God commands us to do more, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” (Mark 16:15)
Last year, I attended the Evangelism Boot Camp at Lighthouse Alliance Church in Rocky River, Ohio. It was there that my life was radically changed… for the glory of God! I spent three days with seasoned Biblical Evangelists, learning how to share and defend my faith in Jesus Christ. It was an amazing time of fellowship, worship, and evangelism. Some areas were a bit scary at first, but I never once felt pressured to do anything that I didn’t want to do. After the Evangelism Boot Camp, I was so adamant to warn people about Hell and share the Good News about Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection that I started Missional Evangelists for Jesus Christ with my wife.
This year, the Evangelism Boot Camp is from August 12-14 and the cost is still only $35.00, which pays for an abundance of materials and tons of great food! They have added a new feature this year to accommodate the seasoned veteran of evangelism as well as the newbie. There are scholarships available for those with low incomes and housing arrangements are obtainable if needed. Time is running short, so get your registration forms sent in today.
