The Scoop - December 2011

In this edition of “The Scoop,” we’ll let you in on the new ME4JC outreach as well as other happenings with Missional Evangelists for Jesus Christ.

Downtown Outreach
If you haven’t already heard, Missional Evangelists for Jesus Christ is now doing a weekly outreach at Public Square in Downtown Cleveland. We felt led to create a year-round outreach and were drawn to the square. This “fishing hole” always has a crowd due to it being a major hub for public transportation.

When the weather gets too bad outside, there is also Tower City, a shopping mall adjacent to our normal spot for evangelism. Why did we feel the need to create a year-round outreach where it’s winter for eight months out of twelve? Winter doesn’t stop the wicked… why should it stop us from reaching out to them?

New Blog
I (Ryan) have created a new blog site called “Walking with Christ” that chronicles my spiritual journey. This blog was formed in the hopes of being able to keep myself accountable as well as to encourage others by showing that they are not alone in their struggle to read the Bible and pray on a daily basis. I also would ask that you would check up on me to keep me accountable.

Homeless Ministry Trouble
The Men’s Homeless Ministry that we help out with needs your help! We need donations of food, men’s clothes, Bibles, and toiletry items to keep the ministry going. Please consider donating to this cause so that the ministry can continue to meet the physical and spiritual needs of these men without homes. If you want to donate cash, please designate what you want it spent on. Remember that 100% of donations go toward helping the homeless, but we are unable to provide any tax write-offs. Thank you in advance for your help and generosity. Email us if you want to help.

Merry Christmas
Another year has come and gone and we are eternally thankful to God for allowing us to have this ministry. Our first year has been a great one, with many twists and blessings. We are also thankful for those that keep up with us on Facebook, Twitter, and our blog. Your prayers are continually needed and wanted. As we prepare for 2012, we wanted to wish each of you a Merry Christmas. May God bless and guide you in sharing the Gospel with others in the New Year.
