Much has happened since our last update. From new purchases to new ministries, ME4JC has had a lot going on.
ME4JC has been blessed with many new evangelism tools from our two new prayer stations to our new amp for open air preaching. These tools will help us to reach out to the lost in a variety of ways. While we have yet to use the prayer station, this past weekend we used the amp for the first time in Downtown Cleveland after evangelizing at a homeless shelter. I (Elaine) read John 3 while my husband preached the gospel. The audio quality was amazing and our sound was amplified to a distance of about 100 feet.
We recently finished attending the Rockin' on the River outreach event. This ministry was definitely one of my favorites from this year. It was such a wonderful experience and, Lord willing, we'll be back in a few months for more.
Ryan also attended an outreach at the Wayne County Fair in Wooster, Ohio. Unfortunately, our daughter caught her first cold and so her and I were unable to attend. From one to ones to open air to tract distribution, this outreach has it all when it comes to evangelism. This was the second year that ME4JC participated in this outreach and we look forward to going back again next year.
ME4JC has also taken an interest in standing up for the life of the unborn. My husband and myself have learned much about the subject and are now looking to find ways to fight against abortion while also proclaiming Christ to those who are going into these clinics. We are desiring to bring our daughter with us in hopes of affecting the women there. We also would like to hand out DVDs (180movie) at the abortion clinics and in our local pregnancy center.
God is also working in our personal lives as well. God is showing us further ways in which we need to grow as a couple. We have recently started doing family devotions which alternate between the week's sermon from our church, and excerpts from our pastor about marriage which had been handed out a short time ago. This time is precious to me because I feel like this challenges us to go deeper in our relationship and keeps us accountable to one another in different ways.
And lastly, our daughter is nearly four months old now. She is always smiling and loves to chatter away just like her mother :) She is also able to sit with assistance pretty well. She loves it when I sing hymns to her. She comes out to almost every event we attend. In her short amount of time after being born, she has grown over 4 inches now (at least) and gained a minimum of six pounds.
