The Scoop - March 2011

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Welcome to another edition of “The Scoop.” You may be wondering why “another edition” is necessary, which brings me to the first piece of news for this post. Missional Evangelists for Jesus Christ have decided to make another attempt at posting a blog every week. We will have four different types of posts each month.

“The Scoop” will be our monthly newsletter that will provide you with all the recent and upcoming events happening with ME4JC.

We take part in many evangelism and outreach efforts every month. Some are planned and others take place in our regular daily lives, but we will dedicate one post out of the month to give a detailed narrative of what took place.

“Rightly Dividing The Word” will also be a regular addition to our blog site, which takes a commonly twisted scripture and gives the correct interpretation for the benefit of Christians everywhere.

Lastly, we plan to have a miscellaneous week that could have us posting any number of topics. A video and description of a false teacher in the church, a particular Bible verse and description that we wanted to share, a video clip of one of our favorite preachers, a ministry spotlight, or even something not listed here.

If you have an idea for a blog post that we haven’t mentioned, please email us and share your thoughts! We would love to hear from you!

On a totally different subject, Elaine and I are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our first child. We recently went to the doctor and were able to see and hear our baby. The doctor has informed us that we are going to have a baby girl and everything is looking good. Our little princess has a strong heartbeat and we have decided on the name. Sarah Evangeline, which means “Princess that brings Good News,” is scheduled to arrive on June 28.

An unfortunate event took place this past month that will hopefully become beneficial in the long run. We Care Connection has asked that I no longer provide biblical evangelism for their organization. I had a feeling that this was going to happen for a few months, but God impressed upon me to keep going out until they asked me to stop or there were no more opportunities to share the biblical Gospel. Please keep We Care Connection in your prayers, and if you’re a Biblical Evangelist, I ask that you would consider joining them on an outing.

We have a few outreach events happening in the coming weeks. On Saturday, March 26, 2011, we will join some other Biblical Evangelists for a homeless outreach at the North Point Men’s Homeless Shelter in Downtown Cleveland. This outreach event takes place on the last Saturday of every month and offers spiritual and physical needs to the homeless. We have been able to share the Gospel and answer many of the guys’ questions regarding religion, cults, and Christianity.

A nationwide effort to reach baseball fans will take place on April 2, 2011. “Bezeugen Ministries, One Million Tracts, and Sports Fan Outreach International are sponsoring a nationwide outreach to coincide with the opening of the 2011 Major League Baseball Season” (Bezeugen.org). The Northeast Ohio Harvest Team and ME4JC will be at Progressive Field (Cleveland Indians) for this event. We will have special tracts made just for this occasion that will be handed out to all that cross our path to attend the game.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our ministry. We pray that you are encouraged to grow stronger in your walk with Christ and that you will obey the command to “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15). May God bless you in abundance!
