A CAUSE Worth Sharing

Preaching the Gospel at a crosswalk
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! The blog is later than usual because of a certain event that was taking place and we could not talk about it until the event was over. That event was the CAUSE (College And University Student Evangelization) project. This event was put on by Living Waters and had evangelism teams at 75 different colleges across the country! Our team gave out over 1,000 Gospel tracts and open-air preached to a multitude of people. This event was kept secret because we did not want any problems to arise. Last year, the Origin into Schools project had many upset Atheists and Agnostics, so we kept quiet until the event was over. Missional Evangelists for Jesus Christ would like to extend their gratitude to all of the people that helped to glorify God through this witnessing opportunity and a special thanks to Living Waters for putting on this event. Please pray for all of the people that received the Gospel through this event.

Prayer Station at Evangelism Boot Camp
The next outreach event for ME4JC is coming up on November 26, or better known as Black Friday. The busiest shopping day of the year and we plan to be in the midst of the chaos! Our plan is to set up a prayer station inside a local shopping mall and pass out Gospel tracts that have been specifically chosen for this “holiday.” Everywhere you go, people are in need of prayer and we plan to fill the need while shoppers are dealing with the long lines, giant crowds, and hectic parking lots. Of course, the Gospel will be shared as well, because Jesus calls every Christian to “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone!” (Mark 16:15, NLT) Since there is a chance that we will not be able to set up a prayer station, the plan will be to “tract blitz” as many stores and shopping malls as possible. A tract blitz is where you go into an establishment and put Gospel tracts all over the place for people to find, including directly into the shoppers hands. Our prayer is that many would turn from their sins and place their trust in Christ through this event.

Lastly, we have some personal news that needs to be shared. Elaine is pregnant! Praise the Lord! We found out a few weeks ago and are currently estimating that she is 9 weeks pregnant. This will be our second child, as we had a miscarriage shortly after we were married. We thank the Lord for taking our first child to Heaven though because we were not fit to be parents at that time. The miscarriage also showed us our need to change and started us on the path towards Christ. We had thought that we were Christians, but had not repented of our sins. We were false converts, which is quite common among the Christian church, but are now soundly saved and serving the Lord! Please pray for our child during (and after) the pregnancy.

In closing, we wish to give thanks to our Lord in Heaven for all His wonderful works!

God,
Thank you for creating the world,
Thank you for making us in your image,
Thank you for taking care of our every need,
Thank you for saving us from an eternity in Hell.
 Amen.
We say thanks because Christ did the giving
