Chardon Psycho Transition

The murderer from the Chardon High School massacre has been sentenced to three life sentences. Many feel that isn't enough after his actions in court, taunting the victims and their families during the trial. Unfortunately for TJ Lane, there will be a day when his life will end and he will face the eternal judgement from God. The Bible says, "it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment" (Hebrews 9:27).

How will you do when you stand before God on that day? Many will compare themselves to TJ Lane and say they deserve to enter Heaven because they never murdered anyone. "Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him" (1 John 3:15). If you've ever hated somebody, then you are just as guilty of murder as TJ Lane and God will punish all murderers by sending them to the Lake of Fire to burn for eternity.

God wants to save you from that terrible fate though. He sent Jesus Christ to take your place and die on the cross for all of humankind. Jesus never committed any act of sin (law-breaking, wrong-doing), was God in the flesh, and after He shed His blood on the cross, He came back to life, defeating death and Hell. If you are willing to turn from your sins and put your trust in Christ and what He did for you, God will forgive all your sins and grant you eternal life. “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15).
