This week, we’d like to share about a wonderful ministry
tool that is being used all over the world to reach the lost! The Prayer Stand
is portable, durable, and so easy to use that even the newest convert can use
it to fulfill the Great Commission! We've used this tool and its predecessor, the
Prayer Station, and have been amazed at how quickly it draws people in to receive
the Gospel… It’s like having fish jump into the boat!
The Prayer Stand was created by Tom Kiser, founder of the Go Forth Alliance ministry. He began with a simple table design, which worked
wonderfully but was extremely cumbersome, and after much thought, came up with
the new sleek pole design. This new design reaches up to 10 feet high, but compacts
down to only 48x12x6 and can be carried like a backpack. Unlike the table
design, you don’t need a conversion van (Hat Tip to Jeff Osberg) to transport
the Prayer Stand. Not only that, but this new compact model can be set up in as
little as three minutes!
This amazing tool is made to last. It has a metal base and
high quality signage. The tract carousel is made of waterproof plastic that keeps
your literature safe from getting blown away and it can be closed up to protect
the tracts in times of bad weather. If it’s windy outside, you can use the
included tether bar to help with stabilization. Just attach one end to the
Prayer Stand and the other side to something that won’t move… like a tree, a signpost,
or even your car!
Many Christians don’t know how to engage people in
evangelism… or their too afraid to witness to someone. The Prayer Stand easily
dispels both of those excuses! This tool opens the door for you to have conversations
with people; in fact, they usually start it by coming up to you for prayer. Running
the Prayer Stand is easy, just ask people what you can pray about and then pray
with them. When you’re done, hand them a tract or continue the conversation,
keeping the Gospel as the focus. One thing that we do personally is incorporate
the Law and Gospel while praying so that they get the news, even if they refuse
a tract or don’t have time to talk.
The price of a Prayer Stand is
$495, not including shipping. Every person that I know who’s purchased one has stated that
it’s well worth the price! The Prayer Stand is truly an amazing tool that every
Christian should have in their arsenal for seeking to save the lost. Talk to
your pastor about obtaining one today for the whole church to use… put it in
the evangelism or outreach budget! May God bless you as you proclaim the Gospel to all creation!
